Katharina Nuttall is an artist, film composer and music producer who in the spring of 2023 received a lot of attention for her soundtrack to the film "Kungen". The year before, her acclaimed fourth solo album "The Garden" was released. A concept album that combines songs, instrumental music and spoken word, inspired by Charles Baudelaire, John Keats and dirt.

Katharina Nuttall's artistry moves freely between genres and art forms and on her three previous records she has explored different musical styles and expressions. Her debut album This Is How I Feel was released in 2007, followed by Cherry Flavor Substitute in 2008. Songs from the two albums were compiled on the European release Cherry Flavor Substitute Limited Edition, an album that was awarded the German Record Critics Award in 2009. Her third album Turn me on, a collaboration with English producer Head known for his long-term collaboration with PJ Harvey, was released in 2011 by the record label Novoton and met with glowing reviews.

Jan Gradvall writes about The Garden in Dagens industri and gives the album four stars: "Katharina Nuttall was born in Norway, with a Norwegian mother and an English father, but has lived in Sweden since 1994. If you count her as a Swede, she must be one of Sweden's most underrated musicians. The Garden is top class. Gritty and evocative music that brings to mind Spacemen 3 and the Velvet Underground. We hear that Katharina Nuttall also makes film music."
